I have all the file types enabled in the volume control app. I also noticed during the original installation that I could not make the system play audible sounds when alarms are detected. Don't know if that is related. I know the sound is actually in the file, because I can hear it just fine when I do a remote playback on another computer. But unfortunately when I try to export to an MPEG file on the remote computer, the only option is a screen snapshot. You should be able to download it off Avers site.
If you can't find it, I'll send it to you. Just make sure you have the serial key that came with your disc. Its usually printed on the sleave for the disk. Yes, I am using version 7. Changing software versions had no effect on the lack of sound during playback or MPEG encoding. Well if you've checked and double checked all the recording and camera sound settings then I would recomend called Aver's tech support.
They've been pretty helpful to me in the past. Uh Oh!. After downloading the newest version of the software, now when I play the files on the remote computer, the sound is no longer there.
It is fine on the remote computer in the Preview mode, but not in Playback mode. I upgraded to a NV and a new homebuilt computer, and the problem stayed the same. An Avermedia tech recommended installing the latest software, which I did. Still the same problem. The sound was present when I played the files remotely on another computer, but not when I played them on the original computer.
Then the other day I happened to run the Volume Control software while actual;ly playing back a video file. Lo and behold, there was a new tab called "System Starting.
Problem solved. I guess I feel pretty stupid for not doing that before. I'm attaching a screen capture showing the new tab. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. I had lots of trouble installing it. I used to had a generic capture card installed on windows xp the cameras was working fine but the machines mainboard with that card installed is gone , so i had to install the cameras another computer , the new computer that i am trying to install has windows 7 64bit operating system and i didnt able to install the drivers for that card on the operating system and decided to buy NV , but still i have problems as i described above.
If i cant make work nv i have a chance to return it. What can i get instead of the card that has 4 channels and support for windows 7 64bit that i can use on any software? Keep the Aver card and use Aver software. It's not worth the headaches of trying to hack it, I promise. In conclusion i need to do something to make these cameras work with that software. It's not going to happen. I have never heard of anyone getting the cards to work with any other software.
The NV card only supports 1 IP cam. If you wanted more, you should have bough the NV card. It will support 4 IP cams. Also with the NV you can purchase cheap expander boards for additional analog channels. I think i should return the nv than , because i will not able to use with my ip cameras in any cases.
Do you know any capture card that i can use with my software and supports windows 7 64bit 4 channels? Forget the software In the wold of CCTV capture cards, the software is propriatary to the card and vise versa. Return the NV, buy an NV and never look back. Aver supports tons of IP cams, but make sure your cams are on Aver's compatibility list on their site. I actually think the software of NV is very outdated , it barely worked and it has still problems on windows 7 , and one think i hate of is unnecessary limitations.
They really need to improve themselves if they want to survive. Nothing outdated with Aver's software at all Like i said in the first thread i am trying make the aver card work on another software that screenshot from another software, i learned that aver cards doesn't work on another system so i will send it back, it is an original aver card by the way bought from amazon this is the one i bought and i downloaded the latest software still not satisfied with the software and it gives that error on windows 7 64bit operating system.
