However, we recommend you apply by the timely closing date to avoid disappointment of the program being closed or places being filled. RMIT supports a comprehensive scholarship program which addresses some of the financial, educational and circumstantial disadvantages our students can face through their studies. The application process for a scholarship is separate to your program application.
Most coursework scholarships open for application in the semester before they are awarded and paid. Scholarships awarded for Semester 1 generally open between August and November of the previous year. If you wish to submit a new application, you must first withdraw from your existing application and then reapply. Provided you have submitted all the required documentation, you can expect an outcome within 1 — 4 weeks unless your program requires ranking competitive assessment. In this case, you will be notified by email of when you will receive an outcome.
During the assessment process, if a Selection Officer requires further information from you, a request email will be sent to your registered address and a notification will be visible on My Dashboard. The documents you are required to submit will depend on the information you provide in your application. As you complete your application you will be notified of any supporting documents we require.
After you submit your application, we may request additional supporting documentation some may need to be certified from you by email. You can also track any request and upload supporting documentation via My dashboard. Some programs require the completion of a selection task. If you are required to complete a selection task, you will be notified after your application has been submitted. You can upload documents or provide a link at any time until a final decision has been made on your application.
