When I was in college this kind of calculator was only a science fiction dream. The high tech device back them was the slide rule--which I never fully conquered. I am happy with the purchase. My granddaughter will be taking algebra I in high school this Fall and when she spotted it on my desk she immediately knew what it was and said she may have to buy one if the school does not provide one for free. So it is definitely a must have if you plan to study high school or college level math courses.
It is not that easy to work sometimes. I found I needed to purchase the Graphing Calculator Manual by Judith A Penna I had already owned her Precalculus textbook to learn how to use this machine to solve textboo k problems. Even with this book, some of the functions did not work as predicted. I emailed TI assistance weeks ago and never heard back from them. So I had to figure it out myself.
