Maytag lip seal tool

I have tried numerous tools but the thing won't turn,,,, is there a special tool somewhere I can get for this? See inside of your appliance - diagrams and part photos for virtually every model. Part numbers are WP , WP Ordered the part. Folllowed the repair manual. Replaced hose. Helps when you have room to access the back of washer. At 73, it took a little longer than when I was 35, but still only took about an hour. Replaced it with a whole new inlet valve.

Not a difficult project if you can figure out how to get the top of the washer off. Take the door off and screws on the opposite side. That allows you to pull the front panel off. Remove screws from the soap dispenser.

Take 2 screws off front edges of the top of the washer. Then the lid should lift up. Take a photo of where everything connects to the old inlet valve before disconnecting anything. Good luck! After realizing the the valves were not able to be disassembled to clean, I ordered the new part and installed it.
